Dr. Uma J. Vinod
- Dr. Uma J. Vinod is a Fellow and Project Facilitator at the Natural Resource Management Division, IRTC, a well-known ornithologist in Kerala and was also District Coordinator of Kerala State Biodiversity Board. She has done her PhD in Ornithology from Salim Ali Institute for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON). Her expertise lies in the area of biodiversity, conservation and planning. She has availed UGC Post Doctoral Fellowship and WOS-B (Women Scientist: Internship mode under Societal Research Fellowship (SoRF)); recognized as Official member of the Red List Authority for birds and the IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC) expert network since 2008, an official partner of International year of forests 2011, an official partner of decade on biodiversity 2010- 2020, and an official partner of “UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021-2030”.
