Waste management is a major challenge in urban and rural areas all over the country. Experiments are being taken up in various parts of the country for evolving better solutions in the areas of dry, wet and liquid waste management. This conference is intended as a venue for sharing research and practical experiences of institutions, researchers and practitioners in the field of waste management.
The conference is scheduled as a three-day gathering focusing on innovative technologies, theoretical approaches and practical experiments in the realm of dry, wet and liquid waste management each of them.
About the organizers
Kerala Sastra Sahithya Parishad (KSSP) is a pioneer people’s science movement of Kerala. Integrated Rural Technology Centre (IRTC), Mundur, Palakkad is a grant-in-aid institution of Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment (KCSTE) and incubated by the Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad. It is also an accredited agency of Government of Kerala in the preparation of watershed master plans and implementation of waste management projects. Watershed management, waste management, sustainable agriculture, energy conservation, and livelihood development are the major areas of intervention of IRTC. Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS), established in 2010, is a State University concentrating in the area of fisheries and ocean sciences located at Kochi. The University offers programmes in Under Graduate, Post Graduate, and Doctoral levels.

Call for papers
Abstracts, followed by Full Papers, are invited in the above-mentioned areas.
An Abstract of not less than 250 words containing the concepts, methodology, major findings, arguments along with keywords is expected.
Full papers should not exceed 2000 words including title page, tables, and figures.
Registration Fee: The registration fee for the participants, who are attending the three-day conference will be Rs. 1500 and Rs. 1000 for others who wants to restrict participation for two days.
The students will be provided 50% exception in the registration fee (Fee exception is limited to B. Tech, Post Graduate and Research Scholars without fellowship).
# Participants have to make their own accommodation arrangements. Organizers will try to arrange accommodation facilities on reasonable rates on prior request from the participants.
